"Help Our School Triumph" (HOST) Program

The goal of the HOST program is to encourage parents to be involved in their child(ren)'s education and to invest some of their time in improving our school. The program asks each family to voluntarily commit to giving a minimum of 15 hours of support to our school during the school year. Opportunities for service include volunteering for PTF activities, helping in class, helping teachers by preparing materials at home, participating in work parties, helping with the bake sale, chaperoning field trips, etc. Volunteer hours served by extended family members (grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.) count toward the family's commitment.
How the Program Works

  1. Throughout the school year, each family records its volunteer hours on a single form that can be obtained from the school office, in the teachers' rooms or at the school information desk.
  2. One HOST hour is credited for every $10 that is donated (in the form of cash or products) to the school. Donated items and their values should be listed on the HOST form.
  3. Families turn their forms into the office as soon as they have completed their 15 hours of service.
  4. Staff initials are no longer required to validate hours worked.
  5. The deadline for submitting completed HOST forms is June 1st.
